Synopsis

The race to net zero: how Welsh education can power out of the starting blocks (from IBI Group)

Speakers: Carys Fisher, Padraig McMorrow, David Buick, Dean Saxton, and Christopher Lewis.

With Government announcing a climate change emergency and the journey to net zero underway, NHS Wales set an ambitious programme to ensure its estate is fully net zero by 2030.  But with the absence of similar joined-up guidance and legislation in the education sector, what can we learn from NHS Wales’ approach, and does it go far enough?

In this panel discussion, leading industry experts will explore challenges the construction industry currently faces when approaching sustainable design, and look at what needs to be addressed to drive the greatest change now in order to create the sustainable buildings and estates of the future.
