Biography

David is employed as the Director of Corporate Estates, working for Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council and is an integral member of the Councils Senior Leadership Team. He has spent most of his career working as a Chartered Building Surveyor and Project Manager delivering major capital projects and is now responsible for managing and maintaining the whole of the Councils property portfolio with the additional remit of decarbonising the Councils assets. With over 38 years experience working within the construction industry, he has worked in the public sector, private sector and civil service.

Working in collaboration with other partners such as the Cardiff City Region (CCR), the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, neighbouring Local Councils and the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA), David represents Rhondda Cynon Taf to collaborate and help decarbonise activities at a local and regional level.

David is also the Chair of the Consortium of Local Authorities in Wales (CLAW) Leadership Board and is working with all 22 Local Authorities to share good practice across the broad spectrum of asset management and delivery of capital projects including decarbonising our assets.
