Biography

Charlotte has over 10 years’ experience working in the Education studio at Powell Dobson, she originally joined as a Part II Architectural Assistant and was promoted to Associate in 2022. Her experience ranges from primary & secondary schools to Further and Higher Education projects but more recently her focus has been on Additional Learning Needs and making education inclusive for all.

Charlotte is part of the Powell Dobson Wellbeing team having recently certified as Mental Health Aware, she ensures wellbeing is at the forefront of all agendas. An active STEM ambassador and a committee member for Women in Property, she helps promote and encourage young people to join the industry and is constantly driving change for the better.

As the Project Architect for Bassaleg High schools new Adeilad Balch development, she was heavily involved from inception to completion. The stakeholder consultations in the early design stages helped form the concept of the project, with students and staff encouraged to participate in the design process, ensuring a collaborative approach was met with key design decisions being made to ensure the wellbeing of the staff and pupils.

This hands-on approach, combined with 10 years of experience of working in the Education and Healthcare sector, has meant that Charlotte has been involved in supporting various local authorities to deliver education schemes from RIBA Stages 0-7, and in the process, has developed many strong and effective working relationships with clients and consultants.
