Biography

Gareth specialises in school design, supporting schools and authorities in the visioning and preparation of briefing documents through to working with the design team to detailed planning and the 1:50 process.

Gareth brings a wealth of knowledge and a dynamic approach to many areas of education.  A teacher for years, becoming a ‘trouble-shooting’ Headteacher of several secondary schools.

Gareth established ‘the-learning-crowd’ education consultancy almost twelve years ago.  The team are senior education advisers to many organisations, (schools, school groups, international groups, local authorities, architects and major construction companies), advising on a range of significant education building projects across the UK and in several countries, most recently in Bermuda, Egypt, France, Qatar, Slovakia and Spain.

Gareth is the only person in the UK to have achieved the USA Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP) status. He is one of just six Education Planners globally to be recommended by Qatar Foundation (QF) to support the design of new school projects.

Before establishing the-learning-crowd he was the Strategic Development Advisor (Education) to the Minister of Education, Cayman Islands.
